About the Business

Amy’s Academics: Speech, Language, and Literacy is a private practice providing evidence-based diagnostic evaluations and intervention for children with language and literacy needs. We offer both in-person and teletherapy services, increasing access for families locally and across rural communities. Services focus on building strong foundations in reading and writing through targeted support in phonological and orthographic awareness, reading automaticity, language comprehension, and written expression. In addition to clinical services, we serve as clinical researchers and collaborate in research partnerships with the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, ensuring that our intervention approaches are grounded in current research and continuously refined through clinical investigation. We also provide graduate mentorship and family advocacy support within school systems.
